Preschool Kissing Hand Printables consist in different printabless that have a hand typed on it. What can children do with this kind of activity? The choices are very many and can teach a child a lot of things.
For example a printable can have a hand and on every finger a number is typed.
In this way the child can learn that he has five fingers at a hand, he learns to count to five at first and because he has two hands he will find easy to count to ten. Then he can learn what the name of every finger is.
Hands can have short words typed on them. So the child starts to remember the words shapes and he will try to reproduce them. Animals can be drawn in a hand and the child must recognize them and write the first letter from their name or associate them with a color.
On the first day at kindergarten children can feel separated by their parents and be scared and nervous. It’s the first time when he is alone in palace, surrounded by strangers and his mother isn’t near him to protect him. Such a day can be very traumatic for them and can let behind deep traces. If mother would give the child an outline of her hand and tell him that it will take care of him like her, the child could feel more comfortable and would get rid of his fears.
Another project can consist in listening a story first, a story about hands and hardworking fingers. Then the children are asked to put the story down on a printable hand. It’s a way to find out what the child’s power of understanding and of memorize is. Then a teacher can test if the child is able to reproduce the story using his words which, later he can put it down on a printable using the hand images.
All this activity urges children to listen carefully, to try to understand the story, then to try to tell it with their words. All these will have a great contribution at the development of their intellectual skills, at the improvement of their communication skills, enriching their vocabulary with new words. So, if at the first sight it looks to be only a drawing exercise, in the end it proofs to be a more complex process of learning. We can say that hands are only a pretext in order to arrive at more difficult and complex tasks.
